Business English Certificate (BEC)

The BEC Exams (Business English Certificate Exams) enjoy
wide-spread recognition and are frequently used within commerce
and industry as proof of understanding and ability to use
Business English. Many universities recognise BEC Higher as
a suitable entry requirement for students to business-related
and other courses of study.
The Exams consist of 3 levels:
BEC Preliminary -Similar level as
PET
BEC Vantage - Similar level as FCE
BEC Higher - Similar level as CAE
In order to thoroughly test the exam candidates
on their skills, each exam is divided into 4 Papers:
Paper 1 - Reading
Paper 2 - Writing
Paper 3 - Listening
Paper 4 - Speaking
What Does the Course Consist of?
All our courses are designed to give the students a thorough
grounding in all aspects of the exams. Each student is given
individual attention and a personal study plan will be devised
in order to improve the skills required to sit the 4 Papers
of the BEC Exams.
In addition this course will give them an all-round language
ability as well as making them more proficient in the use
of English as a means of communication, whether it be listening,
speaking or writing.
When can I take the BEC
Exams?
Anyone can do the BEC Exams, which are held a number of times
a year. Before signing up for an exam course, each student
is asked to sit a placement test - this determines which level
is correct for you.
What in included in the
course fee?
The price includes tuition in groups with individual attention
and a personal study plan. In addition, all study material
is also included. However, if you wish to sit the exam, there
is an exam fee applicable. The fee depends on the exam level.
